“Ok, so I hardly ever leave a review but I have been so impressed with Stephen Ogalvie Ltd that I feel compelled to let others know about them. We sought garden companies to suggest alterations to deal with the awkward slope which significantly reduced the useable space and precluded us from utilising the sunny area in our garden. The grass was often waterlogged and large patches died during the wet season. Being a Grade A listed house within a conservation area also meant that we needed planning permission to landscape our garden. All pretty big issues which Stephen was able to navigate, seemingly with ease, together with liaising with the planners to achieve a result acceptable to us both. I am beyond overjoyed at the result! From start to finish, the team were extremely professional, pleasant to have around (a special thank you to Lewis and Josh who were with us throughout) and completed the work within budget and timescales. The site was left immaculate. I simply can’t recommend Stephen Ogalvie Ltd enough.”

“I would not hesitate in recommending Stephen Ogilvie Garden Design. Three years ago they designed and created my garden and since then have maintained and developed it. From the very first meeting, their designer, ‘captured’ what was in my head and designed exactly what I wanted for my Contemporary Urban Garden. The design was exciting, different and architectural. This was then enhanced by unusual and innovative planting and hard landscaping. From tall pleached beech trees, Portuguese Laurel hedging, sharp topiary design, dramatic tall grass choices along with annual mix of bulbs and seasonal interest. Set in strong hard landscaping of slate and granite, gabion seating and outdoor lighting. All through the process, I was impressed by the professionalism and friendly approach of all those involved in the project. The quality of work was exemplary. Since completion of the garden, I have a contract for the maintenance and development of the garden. At the inception of this, I didn’t realise just the value this adds to the garden. I always understood that the design was paramount but in the last few years realised that the after care and development is of equal importance. The garden is maturing and developing each year and brings joy as each season comes along. It has been a very worthwhile investment.”
