“Humble, cheap and delicious. What more could you ask for? The warm and authentic service upon entry will help anyone feel at home. While dated, the interior boasted character and was exemplified by the head chef himself. The menu was simple and less than £10 for a 3 course lunch! I can only describe the food as fantastic, with a taste that I was astonished to find at the price point! The portions were impressive, and while I was full, I also left craving more - simply due to the beautiful food served. I am anticipating my imminent return. Must try, and the upmost recommendation for anyone in Edinburgh. Places like this are few and far between these days…”

I really enjoyed the 3 courses meal in the afternoon which is at a fantastic price of only £8. A happy customer and of course will be back. Update, I’ve now been eating at Gurkha many times and they never let me down, always delicious food, good quality, friendly staff, amazing prices, so very recommended now.”
