“After losing faith in the mechanic I’d been using for the past few years , we recently moved house into the area and so tried DLP Auto’s. Safe to say, I will never take my car anywhere else now. The guys are always upfront, will give you a proper quote for any work about to be undertaken and will also explain the risks and benefits of any work needing done to allow you to decide. It’s very clear that they’re not just after your money, their honesty is refreshing and their CUSTOMER SERVICE AND LOYALTY IS SECOND TO NO ONE. They have gone above and beyond for me on 3 separate occasions in ways no garage ever has. Visit 1: Major service and 4 new tyres. My previous mechanic, before going to DLP’s, had over-tightened the locking nuts on my alloys causing serious issue to get them off. The guys at DLP had to keep it a day to get the nuts off carefully and in the end, unavoidable damage was caused to my passenger-side front alloy. DLP didn’t charge me for the extra labour for all the faff, which is lovely. But then they also put my alloy into the shop next door who buffed out the damage and sprayed it. It came back to me looking brand new. They did this FREE OF CHARGE to me as a gesture of goodwill. Even though it wasn’t their fault and they didn’t cause the original issue. Visit 2: Engine shaking at 50-60mph. The guys managed to fit the car into a busy day to have a look. They identified the drive shaft was faulty and had it repaired and back to me within the day. The price was incredibly reasonable considering the job. Visit 3: MOT- which failed. Put the car in for its MOT on the Friday morning at 9am. They called me at 10am to let me know it had failed and the work needing done. Matt explained that it was a relatively large job which takes about 4hours to do. He explained the risks and what can go wrong during the process, gave me a proper quote and went on to order the parts. The parts arrived at 3pm that day with not enough time for them to be able to complete the work that day. Therefore it was likely I’d get my car back on Monday afternoon as they don’t routinely work the weekend. I explained I use my car for work which was a bit of an issue but ultimately it was my problem. Matt spoke to all the guys and they literally opened the garage on a Saturday just to get to get my car done and back to me for work on the Monday. When I say these guys go above and beyond, it is more than true. I will never use any other garage but DLP now. You’re a sucker if you go anywhere else. I’m also aware I definitely need a new car 😂🙈 But when I do get a new one, I know wherew I’ll be taking it for anything needing done.”
