★★★★★“Good pool, but no family changing rooms. No cubicles are big enough for baby changing table.”
★★★★★“Great facilities inside and out. The swimming pool was also very well used and busy. The hall that the roller Derby was in had a great seating area.”
★★★★★“I'd give zero stars if I could. The staff member (female 50s) was extremely rude to me and two other women who weren't with me. In the gym lots of equipment didn't work aswell as there being nearly no posters or advice on how to use the equipment. The staff member was extremely rude when I entered. She imidatly was hostile towards me, aggressively saying no dogs. I politely explained that my dog is here for a reson. He is an assistance dog who is fully trained to alert to my blood sugars and heart rare aswell as tasks to help with my autism. The staff member goes on to oost about refusing guide dogs and that I'm no different. At this point two members of the public stand near to listen in. I go on to show my assistance dogs ID and the law I have printed out. The staff member continues to refuse me access even though the gym was empty. Not a single person was there. The member of staff tells me that since I'm dissabled I need to have a parent or carer with me and she wouldn't let me in due to my autism and saying that other autistic people she knows can't be trusted without a carer. I try to explain that autism is a spectrum wich she denies. At this point the 2 members of the public sep in and explain the law to her and what the staff is doing is not okay. The staff member refused to get a higher up or to even read the law. Only when I threaten to get the police involved the member of staff lets me go to the gym. She sets up the machine to pay by card but she doesn't set it up right and claims my card is cancelling then tells me to leave. The nice woman offers to pay for me. Then the member of staff has a huff then sets of the card reader correctly and lets me in. This is illegal to do to any person especially a young person who is dissabled and has a badge wich shows they are autistic. I have been to this gym many times with my assistance dog in peek times with no trouble. I'm not sure why this time was any different. I hope the two kind women see this and understand how much they helped me. Thankyou I really appreciate when members of the public stand up for me when I can't. Please educate your staff.”
