“My bike failed its MOT on Tuesday of this week with a failed rear light. Through some investigation it was established that the brake switch was at fault. I bought the correct switch from a UK supplier the same day. I have only just returned from the MOT retest at LOTHIAN MOTORS after having my back brake checked and passed. When I went to start the machine to return home I got nothing at the ignition switch. After checking fuses and the battery, one of the mechanics at Lothian Motors was clever enough to suggest bridging the part of the switch that activates the brake and allow the machine to start. This was successful. (see image) Not ideal but it got me home. I didn't even need to ask for help. When Lothian motors saw me having trouble in the yard, the came over and put the situation right. Great people, great attitude and help. Saved me from an annoying vehicle recovery and trip home on a lorry. Highly recommended.”
