“My car started making a funny noise in rush hour traffic on Seafield Road. I pulled into the Shell and my breakdown recovery providers estimated a two to four hour wait. Seafield Service and Repair said if I drove slowly round to them they would lift it and see what was going on. Turns out it was a piece of the protective plastic from the underside that had come loose at one end and was dragging on the carriageway. I was in and out in less than an hour and they declined payment for their work. I don't live in Edinburgh and they were aware of this so there is little expectation of return custom. They really went above and beyond to help a stranger out. If I lived locally they would definitely have my business.”
