“I’m delighted to discover this bakery/cafe that opens at 7am, a rare occurrence in the city. The friendly staff serves delicious coffee and baked goods. I had a flat white and cinnamon knot, as sandwiches weren’t available early. Though it’s pricier than other cafes, it’s a pleasant experience. It was a nice breakfast treat before leaving Edinburgh.”

“Update: next day returned for americano and sourdough toast but with some jam on the side. Americano - wonderful. And although the sourdough toast was as yummy as yesterday, today only one piece of toast. So changing stars for inconsistency in service. Yesterday: Sourdough toast done with perfection. The cultured butter salty lightly sweet and wonderful.”
