“Guillotine is the best salon I have ever been to and Bev is an amazing stylist. I love the haircuts they give me! I used to avoid going for haircuts, even with queer friendly stylists because I found salon environments socially stressful and a sensory nightmare. However, whenever I've been to them it's a relaxed and safe environment and it's almost always been one on one or with just one other stylist working. I felt instantly comfortable with Bev as a not-cool queer and autistic person in a way I haven't before in hair salons. Bev is a very thorough, thoughtful and skilled stylist. They take time to look at and understand your hair and share their thinking with you- I always get the sense that they enjoy attention to detail and giving you the best cut possible. If you're unsure or looking for a change I'd reccomend booking in extra consultation time if that's available. I am never really confident making decisions about my hair and don't really know what to ask for, but when I did this with Bev I found the direct and detailed way they approached hair styling meant this conversation was really helpful. And I feel more confident now asking to try different things with my hair now. So glad I found Guillotine, and happily travel 40 miles to see them every time I need a haircut!”
