What customers say

This is a bubble tea store, but the food is amazing. The chicken wings are the best I’ve ever had in Edinburgh! I highly recommend the volcanic cheese chicken wings. I chose medium spice and it was still very strong, but the cheesy flavour made it even more delicious. The jianbing was also really good. Definitely worth coming here for the food, not just the drinks.

It is a very attractive and well decorated shop with a good variety of drinks. The shop was empty when we visited early on a weekend evening. Despite this, it took over 10 mins to receive one drink. The woman taking orders was a little cold and I didn't get a stamp loyalty card (the next person that came in was served by another member of staff and received a stamp loyalty card). I ordered a milkshake and unfortunately the banana was not well blended with the milk (even after mixing with the straw) and the added fake banana flavor was a little strong and therefore sickly. It was also very expensive for what it was - I expected more substance and a better made drink from an almost £7 for a milkshake. This place is fine but there are other, better bubble tea places even within a 5/10 minute walk.

TLDR: unlikely to go back again. Saw the opening news on Instagram, I was very excited to try it out especially with the 30 drinks free (rather than 30 customers, which is what I initially thought). Whilst not sure how this is possible but when it was finally my turn to order (been queuing over 1 hour at this point!), they didn’t even tell me that I have to pay for my drink because the 30 free drinks were fully redeemed. I have been in the queue since before they’re officially opened (1pm), and I was within the 30 people queue, so I guess, lucky for those who had been at the front and perhaps got more than one drinks for free. I also counted people that come out with a drink, it was less than 10, so who knows what had happened! I definitely think someone should have come out and said the 30 drinks have been fully redeemed, and from this point onwards you still get 50% off drinks, but they didn’t. I would have left the queue ages ago if that’s the case, but I guess maybe that’s how they bait you in. However, I did received the free gift so I’m still chuffed for that, but nearly 2 hours for a drink and the gift, not too sure it’s worth it, but I guess it’s an experience to not fall for again. I ordered a DIY drink. It took nearly 30 minutes to prepare. It was awfully long wait, I understand that they make the drinks in order but it was just shockingly slow :/ at one point I think they ran out of boba, but they haven’t mentioned that, otherwise I would have ordered a different drink which might take same amount time or longer to make, not sure. Now, the drink. It was average, I ordered a flavoured drink with 100% sugar, whilst the sugar taste is there, both the fruit and tea flavours were so subtle so it just didn’t taste right. The boba was okay, not mind blowing. Price was ok for 50% off, but definitely wouldn’t pay full price to try a different drink here.
