What customers say

We recently went here for my birthday. This has quickly become one of my favourite places to eat in Edinburgh since we first tried them earlier this year, and the food is always consistently delicious. We have tried many of their various dishes and dim sum and they are always fantastic. Last time, we got chicken katsu curry, xiao long bao, pan fried chicken gyosa, vegan sui mai, spicy chicken dumplings, gochujang chicken rice and vegan spicy noodles. We also had pan fried apple dumplings, which I had never heard of but was a highlight. One of the best desserts I've tried. I also really enjoy the gyosa sauce. We have tried a few different drinks on offer and so far the osthmanthus tea and ginger tea have been our favourites. We also enjoyed their hojicha and matcha lattes which are always flavourful and not too milky. The owner always provides excellent service to go with the food and has remembered the details of my allergies to sesame and peanuts since the first time we went (even though there are usually a few months between our visits)!

Somewhat out of the way spot. But really good food, comfortable atmosphere at affordable prices. Really just found it when wandering about in early summer and since we (as in a family of 3) have often been here for lunch or dinner at various times. My teen daughter loves their soup dumplings. Somewhat has become a comfort food for her. As a vegetarian, I sometimes find it difficult to get good options in Asian restaurants. This one is an exception and has a good vegetarian menu as well. Very friendly welcoming staff- since we only met one so far. Comfortable café style setting.

Consistently good food and very kind service. Recommend the wanton soup especially - depth of flavour in the broth and freshly made dumplings which is comforting on a winter's day.
