“I took my daughter to the W Lounge mainly to check out the view, and it ended up being a lovely experience. It’s on the 11th floor, and the views are fantastic. The drink menu is extensive, with quite a few non-alcoholic mocktail options, which was perfect for her. The seating is very comfortable, with plenty of couches that make it easy to relax and enjoy the atmosphere. Our waitress was incredibly sweet and attentive. She noticed my daughter taking photos of the unique W-logo ice cube in her drink and kindly brought over a fresh glass with a new ice cube so the photos would turn out better. That small, thoughtful gesture really stood out. We were also able to go out onto the outdoor deck, which loops all the way around and offers a full 360-degree view of Edinburgh. A great spot to unwind, enjoy the scenery, and feel genuinely well taken care of.”

“We visited twice to experience both the drinks and the food. In the evening, we went for cocktails and really enjoyed them. There was a great variety of options and the cocktails themselves were nice. Even though the weather was very cloudy, the view was still beautiful. We came back another day for lunch and unfortunately the food didn’t live up to the same standard. We ordered the lobster rolls and the bread was very dry. We ended up leaving most of it. The filling itself tasted fine, but there was only a small amount placed on top of the bread, so half of the roll was just dry bread. It was also hidden with a slice of lettuce, which made it seem like there was more filling than there actually was. On the positive side, the weather was much clearer during lunch and the city view was absolutely amazing.”

“We had dined at SushiSamba immediately before moving on to the W lounge. The whole stay at the W hotel was a special treat for my birthday and it was sensational from beginning to end. From the moment we arrived at the W lounge, it was a lovely welcome and the lady greeting us went to make sure we got a great set of seats with a lovely view. Big huge seats that were so relaxing after our meal. The service was prompt, but relaxed and very friendly. Just all really was ideal. We enjoyed some lovely drinks for a couple of hours and the whole vibe, ambience and chilled but super attentive staff are honestly a credit to your hard work and dedication in enhancing the customer's experience. I wish I had got the staff names to more formally recognise them but as it was my birthday we were brought some lovely shots, chocolates and a card. Honestly your whole team made it a fantastic evening. This has been a difficult year for many reasons but I honestly left the W completely relaxed and reinvigorated. Thank you. Thank you so much for making my special celebration evening such a great occasion. I mentioned this in my review of SushiSamba but little touches by your team make HUGE differences to a customers experience. This may just be your day to day workplace but for your staff to retain the drive, passion and enthusiasm to make guests feel so special is a strong sign of a great team and I hope you can pass this on.
