“Walked into this shop and the person serving was so lovely and friendly. Chips cooked fresh there and then and even got a pot of home made garlic mayo thrown in! 5 stars for the staff. Not a fan of haggis pudding (first try) sorry! But the garlic mayo made it more palatable ;)”

“Today, I had the misfortune of ordering Haymarket Fish 'n' Chip shop for my lunch. My food was delivered via bicycle from the other side of the city; which I think is a very silly idea. Upon the opening of the box, My colleague and I discovered that we had been credited with 1x 10" Margherita pizza and 1x Regular Chips, as opposed to the ordered 12" Pizza and Extra Large Chips. We were incredibly disappointed at this as we had paid extra for this. The pizza in question was greasy and flavourless. I have had donner meat from many establishments in the city and beyond and I have to say, This was unequivocally the single worst portion I have ever had the displeasure of landing on my plate. The few pieces that I did eat were rubbery and seemed as if frozen and reheated. If that was not bad enough, The portion was tiny and half of the box was filled with unwanted salad and sauces. The only thing that I ate less of than the donner meat was the chips. The chips themselves were stone cold, absolutely soaked in grease and had absolutely no flavour to them. I can easily say that I have had better tasting chips from a microwave. In Summary, I have never had a takeaway this bad in all my years of ordering and i can safely say I've never had a takeaway that had me considering going vegan. I will certainly not be back unless offered compensation for my awful afternoon.”

“Atmosphere very hostile as soon you walk in the door you are shouted at to order. it's a unique atmosphere to say the least. real bad meal i'll be honest but I ate it and almost enjoyed it. wouldn't recommend the scampi but i was looking for grimey food and that's what I got.”
