“Attractive local pub with a small front bar and a larger lounge up a small set of stairs. I just popped in for quick pint on a weekday lunchtime. There was only one real ale on, Bitter and Twisted, but it was excellent. The lounge area was quiet and the seats comfy, which was welcome after a walk around Newhaven and the harbour. Would definitely visit again.”

“Went in with some friends who were visiting for Christmas. It was our first drink of the day. 5 of us all 26 years old and all sober. The staff member behind the was standoffish and asked for our IDs then got the presumably bouncer on shift to check our IDs. He said two of the IDs didn't look like us so didn't serve us. Made a comment about adding a mustache to my friends ID because he had grown a mustache since his photo was taken. Seemingly on a bar for locals.”
