Binny Nursery

“The road up to Binny Nursery is a narrow single track with few passing places. The Garden centre is very nice and calming with very friendly staff who are keen to help and advise. Parking is available for at least six cars. There is no coffee shop but, I was informed thay have a kettle and could make a cup of tea if need be. There is also a toilet available should you be caught short. The Garden centre holds the Scottish National Bonsia Collection. One Bonsia tree pictured on its own is over 300 years old so I was informed (last photo). We had a good walk around visting all the areas shown in the map. My wife ended up purchasing 3 off Paeony Roses all of which were very nice. There is a lot to look at and take in with staff there to answer any questions you may have. A very nice German Shepherd Dog 0is there to meet you. It is very quite. As you can see from the photos the centre is large with most of it in the open air. There are some polly tunnels with plants in them. If you are keen on plants this is worth a visit.”

“Wow - what a find. It's off the beaten track ( literally down a single track road) but a spectacular site with lovely friendly knowledgeable staff who go out of their way to be helpful. It's worth going just to see the way plants have been set out in borders in the gorgeous walled garden but I defy you not to buy something - the peonie selection is mind boggling but lots of other great plants too - I will definitely be making this a regular plant hunting spot”

“What a superb nursery this is ,plants over a large area and not the usual run of the mill plants you get in Garden centres they have a large mail order business and it is also home to The Scottish National Bonzai Collection well worth a look if you are in the area”
