“Secret Place for unexpected high quality lunch and diner on NorthBridge Road in the middle of the Christmas market and all the attractions. 4 nights in Edinburgh and we ate dinner each night at Herbie More’s Restaurant. Don’t be fooled that it’s inside the Hilton Carlton, as it’s not like any hotel restaurant I’ve eaten in. Hidden culinary jewel. Everything was fresh from the warm sourdough bread, warmed butter to the amazing Cullen Skink Soup which is like a rich Haddock creamed soup with origins in the Highlands of Scotland. The Angus burger is better than any beef I have eaten in Texas. The crackle skinned roasted chicken breast with mashed potatoes and haggis was a gourmet delight as I dipped it in the cup of sauces, each bit was a treat. The steak and onion sandwich was such a surprise because the quality of steak was like a tender lean cut of a juicy choice cut steak. Finished each night with my ginger lemon tea with honey and lemon and my husband enjoyed the black tea with steamed milk. Don’t eat at those tourist places and miss out on amazing meal choices at Herbie More’s. To top it off these items were mostly less expensive than fish and chips or pizza. Ask Emilie or Tulisa as they both were delightful servers there. Nick was amazing too. He made us feel as VIP guests.”

Then we ordered room service and the young man who delivered our food was prompt, polite, and professional. His name is Connor andI commend him for doing a great job. Great service all around!”
