“Me and my partner were so excited to move into our new property. However, on the week of moving in we were not given any information. Until the day before of the provisional move in date, where I had to email to get an update on our move. This is where I was told that it was delayed because there was contractors in completing work… At this point we were assured that we would get the keys the following week… The next day, we was contacted, by email, to say that we was no longer able to move into this property due to ‘unforeseen circumstances’. Which later on they told us was due to not allowing pets at the property. However, this was NEVER stated in the ad, not mentioned whatsoever beforehand. In fact, we had the agreement that we would pay an extra £20 a month for our dog. Which we was fine with. Which is why, you can understand this came as a shock to us. At this point, we had booked a removal service, booked time off work, handed our notice into our current property and booked cleaners for our current property. We feel we have been misled to believe we would be getting this property. Since confirming we will not be moving. The ‘letting experts’/touchstone has passed across all our personal details to bill companies and the council, so we are now getting contacted constantly asking for payments and when we moved into the property. We were excited to move into this property originally, but unfortunately we have now been under extreme stress and pressure to organise things on our side, to ensure we do not become homeless. We feel, this whole situation has been handled in an extremely unprofessional manner and would 100% NOT recommend this business to anyone that is wanting to have a successful and smooth moving process. Currently on the 30/05/25, we are still being contacted by companies outwith this business regarding the move that we never got.”
