“Best Desi food in Edinburgh hands down. I have been coming here for over 4 years now on a regular basis at least once a week, and won’t go anywhere else. A great local place in the heart of Leith. First off I have to start with the family and the staff. From the minute I started coming here with my partner we have always been greeted with warmth and great hospitality. They explain the menus and you can tell they are passionate about what they make. The fact that the restaurant is family run is so beautiful as you can feel the love working there and it is so personable. Everyone front of house to back of house is so lovely and it really makes it a comfortable and safe space to be in. The restaurant itself has a great vibe from the bright colours, the mural with their name written on the back wall, family photos to the Bollywood posters. It’s such a quirky place having been the old Blockbuster back in the day and has a real homely, street food vibe. Even the uniforms are cool and bright. They even have a space in the back to hire for functions. Now it comes to the food. Menus have always changed weekly and it’s so cool that it is a small menu so it’s easy to try multiple things. Also the fact that it allows you to really dive into authentic dishes every week and try things you usually wouldn’t try. The food has always been absolutely divine and I haven’t had a bad meal here once. You can tell everything is fresh and cooked with so much love. It’s not westernised so you are getting flavours you won’t get elsewhere and what they would make themselves at home. My favourite dishes are fish pakora, dhal, dosa, butter chicken, aloo anda, keema toastie and they do a really good breakfast too (the paratha with their homemade pickle and yoghurt is amazing). The chai is also like a hug in a mug and so good. They have recently added a new traditional drinks menu so definitely sample some drinks from there too. I have to add my partner is pescatarian and we have always found there to be ample fish or seafood options and/or good vegetarian options too. Every time I visit I relax immediately and it is one of my happy places. Thank you so much to the family and team for being such wonderful people & providing Leith with so many beautiful dishes over the years. I always feel like part of the family and I enjoy being there. “Food is always delicious. Best indian food in Edinburgh and you're always made to feel welcome. Their menu changes weekly with a couple of staples that they keep on there permanently. I love the family photos they have up on the wall too - makes you feel like you're dining in someone's home 😊. I've had breakfast there and it really sets you up for the day and you probably won't need to eat until evening after you've had it. Unlimited chai during breakfast too!”

“Flawless. Couldn't fault anything with my visit here i came with my partner for the lunch time menu. Everything was lovely and tasty, i would say the Haggis Pakora is a must have. The service was great also and even had a nice chat with the owner about where they source ingredients for their dishes and drinks alao from India. Can't get more authentic than this. 10/10.”
