“This is a nice place for a relaxing walk, the leaves are changing colors which makes it even more beautiful. Green fields with sheep, forest and a pond, are surrounding the Old Penicuik House. The wildflower field in front of the house makes a perfect photo spot. Past the house there's a path that leads to the pond and more trails, if you have time.”

“We have not long got back from 5 nights at Clermount House and 2 nights in Westlin cottage: both were stunning and immaculately clean. The grounds and landscaping is incredible and so peaceful, hot tubs were divine and kept cleaned daily; we were very grateful to be shown the main 16 bedroom house by James. We can’t wait to come back for another stay in December. Amazing that it is dog friendly too. Thank you !!”

“The House has not been open to the public since Covid. However, the gardens are stunning and a walk beside the river and surrounding estate is lovely. Would recommend. A fairy garden is worth a visit.”
