“We really enjoyed it here last night. The singer was good and sang a mix of popular/unpopular country songs. To start off with there was literally 2 tables in and there was no atmosphere at all really, but at around 9.30 it started to pick up a bit. The staff were lovely, especially the shot girl who stayed to chat to us, thank you x”

“We had booked a private karaoke room at Westside Rodeo for a hen party (group of 10), and the experience was ruined by the behaviour of one of the bar staff. When I went to order drinks, the barman was on his phone. I politely asked if he was serving. He appeared irritated, continued using his phone, and then deliberately served several customers who had arrived after me. When he eventually acknowledged me, he refused to serve me entirely. He then went to another section of the bar and instructed a colleague not to serve me as well, claiming I had been rude, which was completely untrue. I had been polite throughout. I spoke to the manager, who initially sided with the barman and stated that staff are within their rights to refuse service. While I understand this applies in situations involving rude or abusive behaviour, that was not the case here. Refusing service to a polite customer who simply asked if they were serving is unacceptable. The manager did later offer complimentary drinks, but by that point the situation had already undermined the evening. As a result, our entire group chose to leave early and go elsewhere, despite having booked a private room for a special occasion. Very disappointing experience. The handling of the situation and the lack of professionalism from staff reflects poorly on Westside Rodeo.”
