“initially went to Mr. Fix for a replacement of my iPad display. The repair did not work properly from the beginning. After the screen replacement, the fingerprint reader stopped working, and I was told that this was “normal”, which I strongly disagree with. The screen was also not glued properly, so I had to return for it to be glued again. After that, the iPad started locking itself after a few minutes of use. When I returned today, they asked for the invoice, which I didn’t have with me. I asked them to check their computer system, as they always request name and number when accepting repairs, but they claimed they couldn’t find anything. From that point on, excuses started about why the issue supposedly couldn’t be related to the screen replacement. I left frustrated — £100 paid for a repair that never worked properly. On top of that, I left my phone there some months because it wasn’t charging. We agreed on (if I remember right £60) to replace the charging port. When I came back, I was told that only a “proper cleaning” was done — no part was replaced, yet I was still charged the full £60. When I disagreed, the response was basically that I wouldn’t have known if he hadn’t told me, which I find completely unacceptable. I strongly disagree with this approach and feel very disappointed. I’ve been there several times before, and this kind of experience only ever happened with the older guy. The younger employee has always been humble, friendly, and professional. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I can’t recommend this place and will never come back.”
