What customers say

From walking in to taking my first bite the whole process was amazing I walked in just before they closed and luckily they still had a few things left. I asked the common question of what they recommend and they were very helpful in explaining their offerings. Everything is made fresh in house and not to forget their chicken is halal. I got the spicy Korean pie, chicken fajita pie as well as a few of their pastries. They definitely did not disappoint! The pies were flavourful and hearty and the pastry desserts were delicious. I recommend going for sure and I will be back again soon. Next the desserts. All I can say is they are amazing, fresh and the perfect balance between being too sweet and not sweet enough. Would recommend this place to anyone. however make sure you come in before they sell out and make sure to try a few things.

Highly recommended but didn't really live up to the hype. Stopped off here for a snack as we were passing through, was expecting a hidden gem based off other reviews, but perhaps Newtongrangians have a lack of choice... Spicy chicken pie was surprisingly basic. It really was just chicken breast dipped in Frank's hot sauce and dropped into a pie shell. Quite dry. Could have done with a sauce to bind it together in the shell. 5/10 Bacon maple yum yum caught my eye, was just getting a quick snack originally, but it looked so good I had to try. It was pretty nice, though the dough was a bit dense for a yum yum. The bacon was good and crispy and paired well with the sweet ingredients. 7/10 That said, they did have a fairly attractive range of options, so maybe I just picked things not to my taste. The girl who served us was super nice as well and made us feel really welcome.

I’ve been here a few times now and so I thought I would leave a review. Firstly the service is always excellent. They are super friendly, helpful and welcoming. They have a huge selection of pies, sausage rolls and sweet treats all at a reasonable price considering the size of the items. The pies I’ve had have been a hit or a miss. It depends on what you order but some have been on the dry side and a bit meh in flavour but I’ve had others that have been incredibly juicy with a party of flavour in my mouth. The same can be said for the sweet treats. I’ve had lovely eclaires, millionaires and cakes but a few disappointing pastries and donuts. I must say that the variety is what makes this place shine. They have your classics but a lot of unusual flavourings to keep you coming back to try more. Get there early as the pies sell quickly.
