Assai has a great selection of local artists and as a Canadian, I have been blown away with the incredible music you Scots are putting out there. “We made a couple of trips here last week including a record signing event. These stores are very bright and quite spacious. For me there weren't enough Hard Rock and Metal spaces but they did hold a wide range of musical tastes. There were a few signed and sealed LPs in amongst the shelves too. It is a very clean and modern environment compared to my favourite music stores. Easy to locate, a nightmare to park anywhere near during peak hours. Nice staff and a warm welcome.”

“Was after a vinyl LP, website said 4 copies in the Edinburgh shop so went their. No copies in the shop although they did offer to order it for me but couldn't say when it would be available for pickup. Not good enough and time you made info clear on website to save wasted journeys, Found the shop dark and dingy, difficult to find anything as there was no obvious sort order in the limited genres available. certainly won't be back!”
