What customers say

Evening dinner delight at this charming seafood spot in Leith. Wonderfully attentive and friendly service, warm and ambient seating areas, all setting up a genuinely lovely dinner and drinks that couldnt have gone better for us. The staff were super, making sure that the available offerings were clear to us before ordering, as well as providing suggestions based on taste, and there was never any feeling of being rushed or incohestive choices being put forward. The wine was sublime, portions generous and super tasty, particularly the fish cake with bisque, cod, and the potatoes on the side were a winner for mopping up the sensational liquid we had left in abundance! Looking forward to visiting again on our next trip to Leith. Highly recommended.

Food is astonishing; we unashamedly licked our plates and made a note to order bread next visit. We didn't meet the chef but their skill at cooking fish is first-class. The host Graham is a warm, friendly and professional host and perfectly matches the ambience of the cosy ambience. His wine recommendation introduced us to a new favourite! Beautiful decor too.

Visited with family and ordered the seafood boil for four (£156). The presentation is fun and the casual, hands-on “family style” format with gloves and sauces makes for a lively dining experience. However, on arrival we were seated at a pre-set table that was quite narrow. One member of our family found it uncomfortable to sit there due to their size, so we politely asked if we could move to another table. The restaurant was not busy at the time, but we were told that the tablecloth for the seafood boil had already been prepared on that table, so moving wasn’t possible. As a result, our family member had to sit at the very end of the table, which was awkward and not particularly comfortable. The platter itself included two crab halves, mussels, prawns, sweetcorn, green beans and a very large amount of baby potatoes. While everything was well cooked and the seasoning was enjoyable, the balance felt heavily weighted towards the potatoes and vegetables, with a relatively small proportion of premium seafood for the price point. At £39 per person in Leith, I would have expected a higher ratio of crab and prawns to fillers. Overall, it’s a sociable and messy dining concept that’s great if you’re after the experience — but in terms of value for money and guest comfort, it didn’t quite match expectations.
