“I paid for my first one-hour lesson with them in December to be scheduled for January. After my initial interest I was chased for payment a few times otherwise I may lose my slot they said. As I wanted to start singing from January I did the bank transfer AFTER which they sent the dreaded T&C they like referring to so self-assuredly. Seeing all the limitations for refund and rescheduling I felt uneasy about it but since they said there were no refunds given and I had already paid and as my class was scheduled for Saturday I decided to not overcomplicate the situation and go with it. I foolishly accepted the T&Cs which I see caused others to lose money too. It's my luck that something came up between December and January on this Saturday which I can't move. I gave Sarah and Vikki 10 days notice only for them to come back to me saying that they couldn't move the lesson in the same week so I'll lose my money. This policy is totally unfair, one sided and lacks long term thinking. Who will ever go back to them for losing £40 over not skipping a major family event, getting sick or given a hospital appointment within a week when they take payment a month ahead? Who are they to demand this from people anyways? To arrogantly point it out to people that they were unwise enough to sign this terrible contract after which they just don't care. I reported them to some professional bodies to see if their contract terms are unfair and unenforceable. If there is a positive outcome I'll update my review for others to avoid this situation. EDIT In the email they sent their payment information they also sent a link with the T&C's. I was busy so I didn't reply for a few days then they sent a chaser without the T&C's and I just looked for the bank details in the previous email to pay them. To be honest, if I had seen it I probably wouldn't have been worried about a T&Cs link as I had never experienced such bad faith, unfair, non-sensical terms for rescheduling before so I had not reason to think much of it. I will be more careful in the future though. After I paid them they chased me to sign the T&C's, I guess because they had issues with people complaining about it before, where I saw some unusual terms which I never experienced with any other classes/treatments/dentist etc before. Basically that they may not change your appointment, it must be on the same week and they can just state that they couldn't move it and you would have no visibility if that was even true. They also said I would lose the slot I asked for unless I paid them as they take payment upfront for new students (and reading another victim's review it sounds like from others too). I highly recommend not to pay them upfront or definitely not far in advance like I did. TLDR They are people I never met who took £40 from me for a class they never provided because I gave them a 10 day notice that I needed to move an introductory lesson. They keep referencing their unfair T&C's which they make you sign and include smiling emojis in their emails while telling you neither will they refund you nor move the class. ☺️☺️☺️☺️”

Sarah is the most patient, lovely and even more importantly fun singing teacher. Sophia has loved her lessons over the years and the progress she has made has been amazing. She has found a love for music and especially singing and this without a doubt is because of Sarah's fantastic teaching. “I first heard about Sing for Smiles because my husband bought me a voucher for a Lesson for my Christmas so I went along in January and have had 3 more Lessons since. I have found this experience very good because Sarah has taught me all the things that you don’t realise about singing for instance the breathing exercises, technique’s and all the correct sounds. By doing these things I have improved immensely with my singing as it has made me feel more confident when I do sing so I will continue with my Lessons and Sarah is so nice and friendly and makes me feel at ease every time I go.
