“Non-Intelligent Repairs I contacted Intelligent Repairs for a quote to perform Landlord Compliance Certification. Having checked pricing on their website I knew the price I was expecting. Upon receiving the quote it was higher than expected which I queried to be told “we have had issues with previous contractors so have recently changed but not yet updated our website”. I decided it was still cheaper than some other quotes so proceeded to make payment & make arrangements for them to access my property. The day after all testing was to be performed I contacted them to check if all had been done & whether there were any issues. I had thought this would have been sent to me in the first place but OK it was only an email to be sent. Reply was received later the same day to confirm all done & passed. At this point all was relatively fine, then the issue’s started. I received 1 certificate the following day then had to send several further emails to receive all others. It took 2 weeks for me get receive copies of all certifications. (This may be standard but to me felt too long) Upon receiving the PAT certification I noticed there were only 5 items listed when there should have been 9. I called to query to which I was told “they have been done but were not saved on the certificate”. Upon arrival at our property the following day we found the items with no PAT label applied which raised a concern to whether they had actually been tested. We also found scuff marks on the bottom of both bedroom doors which appeared to have been done with a boot. Then we found our fridge freezer had been turned off & it was only by shear luck the freezer was not full of ice & therefore did not flood the kitchen once it defrosted. Then we found our facilities had been used but the seat had been left up & had not been flushed which was the final straw. We had no handwashing capabilities as the property was empty ready for tenant viewings, imagine a potential tenant walking in & seeing that not to mention the user walking around handling items in our property without having washed their hands. I sent photos of all issues to IR on the Saturday including the items that did not show any PAT labels that I had been assured were done then I called them first thing Monday morning to firstly see what the situation was with the “open non-labelled PAT items” & secondly to confirm they received my complaint email. They said the engineer would be found within 30mins with the necessary labels since all items had been tested. They also said they would review my email to which I said please have someone call me today to discuss or send me an email to advise. I’m still waiting their response. I did however receive an email late Sunday evening with the 3rd revision of the PAT certificate this time showing all 9 items. Upon arrival of the engineer I asked him if he had the labels for the 3 items he said “I didn’t test the open reach as it can cause it to short circuit the unit”. To which I replied but I have a certificate showing it was done, he said “yes I was told you needed it to be added” but it hadn’t been tested so I said you have falsified a document by adding an item that you have now told me wasn’t even tested to which he replied “yes”. I was in shock & couldn’t believe my ears. He came in tested the other day 2 items labelled them then left. Would I recommend Intelligent Repairs, absolutely not.”
