The Steading, Rosewell

“I was at the public meeting on Thursday about the bus changes and it was nightmare. It was extremely noisy. Lot of people could not hear and where really struggling. There was a very very noisy dance class i think in the room next door. I asked three members of staff, who where in at the time and were together if they was any chance to turn the music down a bit. Even just the bass, and I was spoken to like a petulant child. All of the staff dismissed the distress it was causing. So I asked again. That's when the male in the group became in my opinion angry and aggressive. And I was told they don't care as the class had payed for the space. He called the person running the class by name. Then said to take it up with the organiser of the meeting. The noise continued. As a community space I find this appalling. No thought of inclusion. Oh and I was also told to "SHUT UP or leave" I would mot recommend this space and advise whomever is in charge to do some staff training in customer/service user care. Very disappointing in what is supposed to get a community hub. Zero stars.”

“I never went into the Steading i just went next door to it to get my flu jab and booster jab today and went to the store on the corner in Rosewell, it as changed since i was there in 85 i was only 15 years old then and now i am older now, i might go back to Rosewell next week and go into this place called the Steading for a cuppa coffee and a cake or something else and take photos inside this building.”
