★★★★★“Terrible service from day one. They use the Edinburgh boiler company to do their installations. Now god forbid you have a problem with anything or any kind of problems then installers deny and lie and warmworks take their side even with evidence to say it’s happened. If you have shoddy workmanship this gets passed back and forth till they hope you go away or they say so so is busy and will return your call and don’t. So no I don’t recommend either of them look elsewhere if you can or be prepared for lots of headaches.”
★★★★★“Its difficult to believe how many issues we have suffered during the process of applying for grants and receiving energy efficiency measures to help our property move towards NET ZERO. We qualified for Solar panels , Air source Heat pump with new hot water immersion tank and various extra insulation measures and ventilation .We bought a property on Shetland which was in a terrible state and needed extensive renovations to be carried out .However the grant was delayed as work was ongoing to make the house livable. Warmworks sent out a surveyor and the report made by Miss S******ders was insulting to our intelligence. She stated that the property had not been maintained and frankly her whole visit was beyond RUDE!!!!!!!!!! However despite this we did have a very positive visit from Joe From Shetland Heatwise who recorded our EPC and suggested various measures to improve the EPC. After months of waiting we had a visit from the Solar panel installers and found out we would lose the Solar Panels because they could not be installed on the ground. We had contact from the Heating Company a local based company from Scalloway Shetland and given a date for install. but this was not quite truthful as we were told that funding had been with drawn until January 2025. This was a blatant lie as we later found out we required a full planning application to be submitted to Shetland Islands council which we carried out ourselves as we could not wait any longer. Hughes plumbing a heating installed the heating system at the end of June 2025 and the last day of install they failed to show due diligence by failing to ensure all pipes had been connoted correctly. We could not believe what happened next as water was pouring through the ceiling directly onto an Epson Printer p6000 which has suffered electrical issues . The damage to the property and equipment has left us with over £7,000 worth of damages which needs to be dealt with by their insurance company. They have refused to make an insurance claim and despite giving them a deadline we are still awaiting a resolution. They have even made them selves look stupid as the room has not changed since the install and as my husband suffers from various disabilities and there is no way he can move a printer weighing in excess of 168 KGs without help The owner of the Heating company called and advised that he was refusing to deal with the error of their ways. We were concerned that something may go wrong but we thought we would be covered by the companies public liability insurance. As a word of caution we believed that we would be protected by their very poor standard of workmanship. There were a number of other issues relating to damage to walls and wooden moldings and flooring left up including carpets and laminate flooring. In fact they even trapped one of our cats under the flooring We appreciate that mistakes are made but we did not expect to be treated so badly as a direct result of poor workmanship and no resolution is forthcoming after 4 months. In fact the plumbing company said he didn't care what we did as all the work they carry out is through grant work provided by Warmworks. My GOD how arrogant . There seems to be very little recourse for their actions which Warmworks are allowing them to continue treating us so badly . Lets hope their contract is terminated so no one else suffers from their fundamental dishonesty. After calling Warmworks on the 11/11/2025 i began to realize that their is a complete lack of transparency and as a privately run company you do not follows guidelines to help the customer. The feedbacks and insights team are extremely good at mot resolving problems and hide betide a hidden agenda. . At least one member of the team has failed to help resolve these issues and has decided to dissimilate against my Husbands disabilities when he asked for help. Is this acceptable !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
★★★★★“We couldn’t be happier with the incredible help provided by Warmworks. Their program is a fantastic opportunity for those on benefits like Universal Credit to make their homes warmer and more energy-efficient. They offer a range of upgrades, including new heating systems, boilers, radiators, and much more. After finding out we met the eligibility requirements, we had an inspection carried out by Alba Gas, and the professionalism was second to none. The communication from both companies was excellent at every step, and they kept us informed throughout the entire process. Within just a few weeks, all the new equipment was delivered and installed in a single day. The team worked efficiently, respected our property, and accomplished so much in such a short time. The improvements have made a massive difference to our home, and we couldn’t be more satisfied with the outcome. Warmworks has been a true lifeline for us, and the professionals from Alba Gas were simply outstanding. We couldn’t fault them in anything. 10/10 – thank you for such amazing service. We highly recommend their services to anyone in need of home heating improvements.”
