“I was really excited to try Bono given the hype around it being a new, trendy spot in Edinburgh, but the experience was disappointing. I gave one star mainly because of the service. The barista spent around 15 minutes having a personal conversation with a friend at the counter while myself and three other customers were left waiting to be served, which felt unprofessional and frustrating. Another issue is the pricing. The prices shown are not what you actually pay, as there is an extra charge if you sit in, which is not disclosed until payment and feels misleading. On a positive note, the interior is very nicely done. The decor is tasteful and the paint colour gives a clean, modern feel. They offer matcha, classic coffees like flat whites and cappuccinos, a small selection of sandwiches at lunch, and cinnamon buns from Company Bakery, but overall the service and lack of transparency need to improve.”
