“A mixed bag really; it's a quaint little cafe/gallery space with some in house seating (and seating by the water, though not sure if it is theirs so to speak). Looks nice, and seats are comfy enough for us with built in padding. Toastie was great, made with care and a sprinkle of salt with an explosive green hot sauce on the side. Sourdough cookie was light, fluffy, and tasty. Flat white was mild but smooth, though milk control could have been better. No obvious wifi available, and the only power socket I could see appeared to be covered up to prevent use. I had no access to data on my phone which made the lack of wifi more noticeable (I assume for all the concrete/stone). Accessible toilet was clean and reasonably lit (though they'll need to update the emergency alarms as the only one is a cord that reaches a few feet from the ceiling at best, amd would not be reachable from the toilet or floor). As other reviews, I think the biggest let down was a disinterested person taking my order, and my personal bugbear which is a point of sale asking for a tip before I've even got my drinks. If I was in the area, I'd come back and try again. But I wouldn't go out of my way when there are plenty of high quality alternatives in Edinburgh.”
