“We had a fantastic night at The Oak & Ember. The food was lovely, the staff were attentive and welcoming, and the atmosphere throughout the evening was brilliant. It’s clear the new owners are putting a lot of effort into making the place work. They’ve only recently taken over and are new to the area, but they’re already offering drinks at very competitive prices and creating a really friendly, lively environment. There’s plenty going on too, sports are shown, there are regular quiz nights, and it feels like they’re genuinely trying to build a great local pub that people can enjoy. Rather than judging a new pub too quickly or criticising it online, I’d encourage locals to support the effort the new owners are making. Starting something new in a community isn’t easy, and they deserve a fair chance. Everyone who joined me said the same thing ,we had a brilliant evening. I’ll definitely be back again and wish the new owners all the very best on their journey”
