“I have just done Cerri's introduction to garment making class and found it so helpful. We made a toile skirt this time and it was a great pattern choice as had lots of different skills to show us. It had a zipper, pockets, yoke, buttonhole stitch, waistband with belt loops!! I've never felt confident to try a pattern but Cerri took the time to explain what each part of the process meant and all the sewing jargon!! Cerri demonstrated what to do, then gave guidance each step of the way when trying ourselves. The class was small which was great as meant she could spend a lot of time with us if we had questions or needed extra help. I brought my own machine too and feel a lot more confident using it now too. Excited for more classes as feel like I get so much from these (I've previously done begginner with Cerri too) Also excited to try making the skirt myself!! Thanks again!!”

“I would recommend Sew Gallus to anyone looking to start or improve their machine sewing skills. Over a two day course I learned how to decipher pattern instructions, cut out patterns, sew in a zip, make belt loops, create button holes and make two types of pockets! I now feel confident to test my new skills at home. Cerri is brilliant, she is very patient, explaining each step verbally then showing you on her own machine how to do the sewing, making it easier to grasp the new skills. I would recommend her classes to anyone who like me, is a visual learner. I really enjoyed her class, the Sew Gallus studio is bright and airy and you'll always be offered a cup or tea (or coffee)”

“I attended the level 1 beginners sewing class with Cerri and couldn’t recommend it enough. Cerri is so welcoming, patient and friendly and such a good teacher. We learnt how to use the sewing machine right from the basics, making sure we were confident with that before moving on to creating our pin cushions. I felt very supported in a skill I haven’t touched in over 10 years and now have the confidence to keep going at it. Really looking forward to attending level 2 and 3 of Cerri’s courses and then hopefully the drop in sessions too!”
