★★★★★“Nice little spot to stop for a hot drink and cake if you out for a walk down this way, or if your waiting for your kid to finishing dancing (shop is attached dance studio). My wife and I grabbed a hot chocolate and a couple of sweet treats pre a wee dawner with the bairn. The shop was quite busy with people sitting inside and out. It did feel a little crammed inside and a little chaotic with kids playing around. It wasn’t particularly inviting to sit in but thankfully we had no intentions to anyway. The lady that served us was very friendly and cheery, despite being run off her feet with orders. There was a young lad working with her but they could’ve done with a 3rd set of hands. She was almost too friendly as her chat slowed down the service. We waited longer than we should have for our hot chocolate but it wasn’t a biggie as we have patience. She was very apologetic for the delay. Our hot chocolates were good. Nothing particularly special but it did hit the spot especially in the cold weather outside. Our sweet treats were certainly sweet and tasty with a good bite to them. I enjoyed the flavour of the coconut slice the most.”
★★★★★“I discovered this café by coincidence on Google Maps. The photos looked great, so we decided to visit — and it didn’t disappoint! It’s definitely one of the nicest coffee shops in the area. The staff were lovely, the scone and jam were delicious, the coffee was excellent, and the atmosphere was amazing.”
★★★★★“I attend a weekly baby class here and was planning on staying for cake and coffee afterwards today. I was told to leave my pram outside as there was no room (even though cafe was empty). The owner told me she would come and let me know if it started to rain. I finished my class and my daughter was due a nap so went to get her pram to find it outside absolutely sodden. I understand there is limited room in the cafe but there were barely any customers when I finished the class and plenty room for the pram. I had to then leave as I couldn’t put my baby in the soaking pram, push the pram while carrying her all the way to the car and come home. I’ve had to change my plans for the day now as have no pram until I can get it to dry. Really unfortunate as I liked this cafe, but I won’t be back now. For offering baby classes, it should really be more baby friendly.”
