“I needed my garden/drive in revamped. After initial consultation on site with Maks, we had the layout, sizing and materials sorted. Got a really good quote and went for it. While the initial groundwork started as scheduled, bad weather set in. Rather than go ahead with the main work i.e. cementing, paving etc Maks and his work partner - his dad Robert - said they'd delay it because it wasn't suitable weather for that part of the job, which needed to be done first and they wanted to do the job properly. I was happy to put it off to get it all done right. Other contractors may have kept quiet, steamed ahead and done a dodgy job just to complete and get their money, with problems becoming apparent later. Although it took much longer to finish due to weather, I'm extremely delighted with the end result. The final payment was requested only when I was totally satisfied with the completed project.
