★★★★★“The service I have received from travel Your World has been shocking, stressful and at times, insulting. We booked my brother’s stag do for the summer of 2024. The booking process was not ideal and was a bit stressful, but the holiday was booked. The communication from the travel agent was not great and at times unclear. Unfortunately, due to an unplanned operation and instructions from my consultant, I was unable to fly, and as a result, I had to cancel my booking, which is where the issues began. In late June 2024, I was moved from the person who had booked the holiday to Bruce Lamond, Managing Director, and the service I have received has been absolutely shocking and stressful. After the booking was amended, I was informed that they would apply a credit voucher for the balance of my booking, minus the cancellation fee, which was no issue. From this point, the disaster really begins. While recovering from my surgery, I was sent a compassionate form to complete and told that Jet2 had a 28-day turnaround period. The form was returned within one week of receiving it on 2 July 2024. However, I did not receive a response from Bruce. I followed up again on 15 July 2024, but received no response. I followed up again on 29 July 2024 and received an initial reply in the morning stating that he would look into this. I did not hear back during the afternoon, so I replied at 17:58, and Bruce replied at 18:22. At this point, we are now beyond the 28-day turnaround for the credit. I then heard nothing until I followed up again on 7 October 2024, to be told they had not heard back. I was disappointed at this stage that I was having to chase, and Jet2 were being chased retroactively after my chaser emails. We are now in the new year, and still no news from Bruce or Jet2. I sent an email to Bruce on 23 February 2025, but received no reply. Then I sent another email on 11 March 2025; guess what, I got no answer. So, I followed up on it again on 18 March 2025 and received a reply stating that he would look into it. On 22 March 2025 (yes, a Saturday evening!), I received a reply from Bruce, which was ridiculous. Firstly, there had been a delay because my issue was “Only catching up today on admin issues”. According to him, I owed him £350, to get my refund, which is just false. I replied with quotes from his emails to me to highlight that this was false, and received a very corporate apology in return, which was insulting, although he did admit that I was not due him £350. As part of this shocking email, I was told that I would hear back on Monday, 24 March, but, as you might expect, I did not hear back until 25 March 2025, saying he would chase Jet2 again. I replied on 28 March 2025 and then chased on 1 September 2025, 21 October 2025 and 4 December 2025. And you guessed it, no reply. I will admit that the issue here is that Jet2 have been very slow, but the customer care I have received has been nothing short of appalling. The fact that I have had to follow up on several occasions and then follow up again because I have not received a response from Bruce has been stressful and concerning. I booked the holiday through a travel agent to help save me stress, not create more.”
