What customers say
★★★★★“I decided to come here after meeting up with friends, I found the club easily, but the car park is a bit more difficult, if you decide to arrive by car then when you arrive at the club you will see a electric car spaces at the front of the building, but the actual car park is directly to the left of front doors, but this is not sign posted to say where it is. The car park is free to use, but when you enter Club 3000 be aware you have to walk through carpark and enter at the front, but when leaving there is a door that leads directly onto the car park but this can only be opened from inside the club. When I walked in I was immediately impressed by the cleanliness of the club, the front of house is immediately Infront of you where you can sign up ask any questions that you wish! The staff are friendly and courteous and all prices are stipulated on the book sales screens, but as a visitor please call them up and ask ! The book sales screens are easy to navigate (new members) but if you need to know anything always ask a member of the staff and if they are busy please ask any club member here I am sure they will be only too happy to help. Okay then once inside the club and you have your book/tickets, walk through to the club. And immediately on your right you will find booths that seat 4 persons, and these booths house the Bees ( electronic boards) these are easy to use! All you need to do is type your membership number in and password(DOB) if you like a big screen to play due to bad eye sight/ or you just love a slightly different way of playing instead of a book 6 paper tickets. Along the back wall there is a ice cream counter ( thought this would be closed for winter) if you look further along that wall around the club you will plenty of electronic boards and these go right up to the callers rostrum. The toilets are situated along the back wall and by the caller, and there is another area of electronic boards just before the door to the smokers area ( outside) I loved this bit because whilst I went for look I found the Royal Yacht Britannia (right next door) take a look it won't cost you. Walk back into club and go right here you will find a large spacious area where you can watch TV and play bingo, this area is what I call the noisy bar! Here you can talk, chat away with friends, etc and you can play either paper or a Bee (electronic board) but if you do not like noise whilst playing bingo then this room is not recommended, but there is a bar in here. Just outside the noisy area you have the main hall bar, where you can buy the drink of your choice, and to the left of the bar you have the food bar, the food on offer was usual fare! Chicken nuggets, chips. Scotch pie, Mac n cheese, but no burgers (must have sold out when I got there) I found that the food was in my humble opinion a little over priced for 6 chicken nuggets and chips £6.00 more expensive than some other 3000 I have been too, but I could possibly see why this may be on the higher side as this Club 3000 is based in Ocean Drive and it appears that this is an expensive place to live with sea front apartments and apartments galore across the road from the Club, this is where you can the tram back into Edinburgh City Centre, so this may be the case. Well there we have a wonderful day out in beautiful Edinburgh, if in the area and you like a game of bingo be sure to give Club 3000 a try.”
★★★★★“Lovely hall, with super helpful staff. Caller tonight definitely needs to work on his pacing and diction. Pacing wise fine mostly when playing lines but as soon as it goes to house he speeds up and certain numbers seem to also speed him up - both to the point where you can easily miss a couple numbers. I was with someone who’s been playing every week for 40years and she struggled tonight with the clarity of calls and at points his speed. I will be back as overall we had a good night but heaven help anyone that hasn’t played before or even for a while. Definitely not for the feint hearted. Please think of the people that don’t play every day”
★★★★★“Wow 👌, very smart for a bingo Hall! Lovely big club with friendly staff. Prize money was decent for a Tuesday night too. Will definitely be back.”
