They got everyone involved, from the seasoned ceilidh dancers to complete beginners. Communication in the lead-up was smooth and professional, and on the day they just took everything in their stride, creating such a brilliant atmosphere. They really helped make the night unforgettable and we couldn’t recommend them highly enough. “The Jacobites played at our wedding at Monachyle Mhor on 4th October this year. It was QUITE the experience - a huge storm hit the night before, leaving us with no power for the entire wedding weekend, and the road to the hotel flooded. Despite all of this, they turned up, full of spirit, and played they most EPIC set for all of our guests. They were one of the first things we booked for our wedding and I CANNOT even express how beyond my expectations they were. We were lucky enough to get c.40 minutes of power back on for our first dance and the first few songs, which threw everyone into the party mood with an incredible vibe that just can't be put into words. After this the power went again, but if anything it made them better; doing everything acoustically, stomping on tables and getting everyone involved in the candle light. They helped us make memories to last a lifetime and our guests cannot stop talking about them. They were one of the best things about our wedding and I would recommend them to anyone. You get so much more than a band - you get genuinely brilliant people bringing the best energy and interacting with everyone all night long. I only hope we get to see them again one day! “At the end of September The Jacobites played at our wedding and they were incredible. From the time we booked them they were great to deal with, very accommodating and went out of the way to make our evening unique and special. We had nothing but praise from our guests about them and there were some hardened highland trad music enthusiasts amongst them who aren’t easily impressed. The floor was filled the whole night for the ceilidh dances and for the covers. Thoren and the band made it very easy for the guests who didn’t know the dances to join in and were great teachers. It was a fantastic night with a perfect mix of trad, ceilidh and covers. We would 100% recommend these guys for your wedding or any function. Money well spent”
