“Hi, this is an update regarding the bowling and tennis pavilion, It remains Edinburgh Leisure owned, but is now being rented from the by a community group - "The Dry Dock". It is open from 1200 to 1800, Monday to Saturday. Tennis players and bowlers are welcome to use or toilet facilities, and to relax for a bit. Though The Dry Dock was conceived as a place for people with addiction problems and those in recovery, anyone from the community is welcome. At present, however everyone is welcome to visit, pop in for a tea or coffee or juice and have a chat! Groups and activities are open to all to try out. Membership is available to all. Any support is most welcome and we love suggestions and new ideas to make the experience better for all. The Dry Dock was recently the venue for a play as part of the Leith Festival in June. The play was titled "Ladies Day Out" and was a success with nearly every performance being sold out. We are hoping to become a venue for the Fringe in August, let's hope! I can also say that The Dry Dock is the first such venue in Leith!”
