“It was a quick in-and-out stop for us. We were coming from Rosslyn Chapel and waiting for our bus back to Edinburgh. We ordered a coffee and a bun with butter and jam. Since it was around Halloween, the place was nicely decorated. It was early in the morning, so it wasn’t busy at all. Fun fact about this spot: You’ll notice a sheep logo on the building’s exterior — the place is named after Dolly the sheep, the famous cloned sheep created in 1996 at the nearby Roslin Institute. She was named after a certain well-endowed country singer!”

“I took my daughter to Dollys at the weekend for a take-away milkshake. My daughter has recently been diagnosed with Coeliac Disease and it has been a challenge at times to find places that will cater for her. The staff at Dollys took it all in their stride. The blender was placed in the dishwasher for a second wash before use, I then observed them clean down an area that only our server was then working in. As the milkshake was being prepared, I could see that all the ingredients were being double checked & a folder with information was even taken out to check the ingredients of the sweets that are placed on top of the milkshake. I feel reassured & comfortable to take my daughter to eat at Dollys where the staff know how to check and prepare to ensure that my daughter can safely order. Well done & thank you. 👍”
