“The landscaping work carried out on behalf of the house builder was disappointing. The overall finish was poor, with little attention to detail. In particular, sections of my fence were buried below ground level, which will likely lead to rot over time. The standard of workmanship didn’t meet expectations and felt rushed. I’d recommend closer supervision and higher quality control in future projects. Where going to place turf on top of subsoil with zero drainage.”

“Root One were subcontracted by my new build developer to provide the lawn on my new house. This costs extra and does not come as standard with the new house. The lawn was incredibly poor quality, laid in torrential rain, had poor drainage, was patchy and, most fundamentally, was full of ruts. We left the grass for five months but if anything it got progressively worse and all Root One suggested was that we spread more seed on it. I spoke to two lawn treatment companies who could not 'fix' the lawn. After being genuinely concerned for the safety of my kids running on this grass and risking breaking an ankle, we took the decision to replace the grass ourselves at great cost. These pictures, taken while the grass was being removed, show that the lawn was laid straight on top of stones and rubble from the house being built. There is no evidence of the 100mm of top soil required by section 10.2.9 of the NHBC Standards. If you're buying a new build, double check who the lawn provider is before committing to spend money on the lawn. Would not recommend.”

“SA21??? More driving lessons required. Wrong Lena roundabout after Balfarg, Undertaking a HGV on the roundabout, then cutting the HGV off. Followed by a series of rescue overtakes in a 40 area where the traffic was already moving at 40 mph. Not a great idea when your van is all covered in your companies contact details and name.”
