“I contacted Dougie after his video on setting up a Zwift bike. Even though I had had a bike fit the year before, my position didn't feel particularly comfortable or efficient. I had just bought a Zwift Ride and set it up the same as my road bike I had been fitted on, including the 160mm crank length using Zwift's adjustable cranks. We did the fit over the Internet and I wasn't really expecting much change. However, Dougie immediately saw issues with my position. I would encourage anyone to watch his fit videos to get a deeper appreciation of getting fitted. The fit was about an hour and a half. My saddle went down 15mm, again! (on my last fit is had already gone down 15mmm) forward and nose up. My initial position was very quad dominant, but now I can feel my glutes and hamstrings working to the point they really ache at the moment after hard or long rides! I now feel like I fit with the bike (I carried the position over to my road bike, which Dougie helped with over a couple of messages) rather than sit on it. My reach has increased and I can now use the hoods comfortably and get lower if I want to. There's zero saddle issues like Inwas experiencing before on my PRO Stealth Curved (constant scooting and shuffling), no hand numbness or lower back pain. For the first time in 10 years I feel at one with the bike! My commuting power and average speed is up slightly and did a ramp test soon after weeks after and was 5 watts higher. That may not seem a lot, but the ramps before I caved were smoother, with a higher cadence. I can pedal the whole stroke rather than attacking the downstroke burning my quads. I have also managed 3hr Zwift high Z2 group rides without issue; sitting on the Ride for more than an hour was a real challenge. I was skeptical that being fitted over the Internet would work, but it absolutely does. You just need to be on an indoor trainer, bang on level and a decent holder for your phone to get proper framing. I highly recommend Dougie's experience, knowledge and attention to detail!!”

“Did my research for a few months before actually choosing Edinburgh bike fitting services. I followed them on Instagram and all looked really good initially, with very knowledgeable employees. This bike fit was a present for my 60th birthday as I had been in pain for years due to a bad shoulder injury. I am taking part in a 70.3 this year, so wanted everything to be perfect! I wasn't going to leave a negative review as I wanted all my issues fixed by Dougie first as I always think, maybe just a bad day or such like but what followed was really unacceptable as a very expensive service, which turned out to be in the region of £700! On first impression everything was great apart from the half hour delay ( we travelled from Inverness for this specific time slot) . Dougie spent 1.5 hours with me looking at ways to fix all my issues, the upshot was the bike needed modifications. Again, I was happy to leave it in his hands, then travel back down the next weekend! In between I had to message him 3 times for updates to when I could pick the bike up! I felt like I was not at all important to him even though I had already paid the full £325 for the fit that wasn't even finished! I took the bike home after paying the full amount, out on the road the first day, gears jumping around everywhere! Gutted as I was expecting everything to be top notch! Messaged him, he was apologetic and stated that " we have dropped the ball", to then promise new sprocket and free insoles for my bother! This was 8 days ago, still haven't heard a peep! This man talks loud but promises nothing! I can't believe I have had to do this and so sad to not recommend him to anyone but I gave him the chance to rectify everything, just to ignore me again.”
