“While exploring Edinburgh, we stumbled upon Mòr Bakehouse, a charming spot that quickly became a highlight of our day. Craving a snack, we opted for a sausage roll and a slice of rhubarb cake. The sausage roll was warm and flaky, and the rhubarb cake offered a delightful balance of tartness and sweetness. Later that evening, we returned for a coffee and a cronut. The coffee, brewed from their artisan blend by Edinburgh Coffee Roasters, was rich and satisfying. The cronut, while decent, didn’t quite match the excellence of our earlier treats. Mòr Bakehouse prides itself on using locally sourced Scottish ingredients, offering a range of items from Cornish pasties to freshly made baguettes and wraps. Their commitment to quality is evident in every bite. With multiple locations across Edinburgh, it’s a convenient and cozy spot to grab a bite or a cup of coffee during your city adventures. “We were going to Calton Hill and needed a little something behind. This is a cute cafe with some of the best on the go food. They do have some limited seating inside and outside if you want to take a break. Plenty of choices for stuffed pastries for any taste type. We got some coffee and stuffed pastries so we could eat while walking. Not always the best way to eat since I was taking photos too 🤣”

“The cake counter looks incredible here! However we found the coffees to be a bit boring and flavourless, and the matcha was also boring. The paninis we are were delicious though! Excellent flavours, sauces and perfectly cheesy. The service was slow as there was only one worker in at the time, yet once another member of staff arrived our food and drinks were ready in seconds. The cake counter looks incredible, however it was so pricey for what was on offer.”
