“I had a very disappointing experience with this company. I took one wool and one wool blend full length coats to be cleaned. One coat was quite new and the other quite old. I was concerned that the older one might not come up too well but was reassured it would. When I collected the coats I was disappointed and suprised to find that both coats still had a lot of lint, and a few marks that were not lint. The collars and cuffs were particularly bad. I took the coats back and was told there was no special instructions on the order and that the coats had been put through a normal wash. There had been no unusual marks or soiling on the coats when I took them in. I was told that in order to remove the lint, the cleaner would have to physically pick it off which takes hours. I was asked if I wear scarves and was told this was the reason for the lint. The woman who I believe was the owner said that she could pick the lint off but by bit over the next few days. When I suggested a partial refund, her response was “ absolutely not”. My main dissatisfaction is: I was told my older coat would be fine. I was not informed that any special instruction was required (because it wasn’t). The indignant refusal for any refund, even partial. The quality of cleaning not only on the older coat but the newer one was substandard. I paid £22 per coat, and neither of them look much better than when they went in. I will not be using this business again.”
