“What a fantastic place, I love it, we had tea/coffee and cake, which were really different, apple and salted caramel scone and billionaires shortbread, set in the front part of the store surrounded by local arts and crafts Then you go to the back for all the fresh organic veggies, then further back again is where you can buy all sorts of dry ingredients from dispenser and also from the shelves laden with local honey and all you need for the pantry. In between the dining area is the till complete with piano and fridges for cold beverages and artisan sausage rolls etc. To the right of that are all the delightful freshly baked bread. You could get almost anything you wanted from here, from Clothes to Felt animals, paper pads, cloth bags and decorations.”

“Super friendly team, great cafe with some nice options. Always soups, quiche, sausage rolls etc with a selection of cakes and coffees. There are often volunteers here so dont expect fine dining service. Its a local place to support local. It has a market/storehouse vibe, with local prpduce, bread, eggs, vedge etc aswell as a small store of atisan style products. Tables are spotted all about the storehouse, aswell as outdoor seating depending on the time of year. You can also find various eclectic items and locally crafted goods. Its always bustling with locals. They have toilet facilities and accessible toilets, my only feedback is they are very outdated and on a few occasions poor cleanliness and no toilet tissue/soap making for an overall poor experience. If thet can be elevated this place would receive 5 star. Again I 100% recommend if in Penicuik.”
