What customers say

I wouldn't recommend this company. The space they have available was too small to comfortably accommodate the number of people on the course and there were problems with the heating. It was either too cold or too hot and when the heating was on there was an overwhelming smell of damp/mould. There was also a leak in the ladies toilet. The tutor was knowledgeable but intimidating. Some people on the course were afraid to ask questions and two people that I know of went home in tears as a result of her abrasive manner. She also watched over us as we completed feedback forms so people were afraid to be honest. I found it strange that every single person passed the teaching assessment first time(despite some obviously not meeting the criteria), but all of us failed the written class plan first time. Clearly we could adequately plan a class or we wouldn't have passed the practical assessment. Also the home study time was very focused on SMART goals with little focus on pilates. The time taken to mark work was unpredictable with some people's work being turned round in a fortnight and some taking months. When raised it was claimed that this was due to emails going missing. In my time I have studied with several fitness companies including Drummond Education, Les Mills, David Llloyd and Water Fitness and I'm sorry to say this has been the worst experience by a long chalk.

I recently completed my Level 3 Diploma for Instructing Mat Pilates and unfortunately had some mixed feelings on certain parts of the course. From intake the course seemed well run and organised and all of the course expectations laid out on the first day. My first bit of feedback would be I think the course could have possibly been delivered to a slightly more bespoke standard with a smaller group (we had a cohort of 13) and perhaps with some prerequisites of having some experience attending pilates courses prior to enrollment. That being said the course was delivered over two weekends and the third weekend we had practical assessments which I cant say I had any issues with. My second sticky point with the course was the coursework that needed grading prior to completion of the course. Things seemed very disorganized (maybe it was because we spanned a bit of the Christmas holiday or maybe that the instructor started the reformer training program immediately after our assessment) but I think a standard email confirmation of work being received and an estimated turn around time would remedy the issue highlighted above and perhaps letting the instructor/assessors finish with one cohort before jumping into another. Overall, I am pleased with the outcome of the program and I appreciate the work that goes into these training courses. It sounds like others have had generally positive experiences with FEA and maybe we were a bit unlucky with some parts of our program for maybe reasons unbeknownst to us. I am on the fence about another program with FEA but perhaps future courses will run a bit more smoothly.

Amazing fitness course provider. The staff is very skilled and super friendly. The courses delivered are widely recognised and delivered by top notch instructors. I've done several courses within the fitness industry and I highly recommend FEA as one of the best providers !
