What customers say

I recently attended the bread-making course and it was a great experience from start to finish. Yarrow's kitchen is welcoming with plenty of space for the 10 people who joined the class. Richard was an excellent teacher who guided us patiently and knowledgeable through each item. We made three different breads - pitta, boule and focaccia - as well as hummus and whipped butter. We enjoyed some of the pittas and hummus alongside a delicious lunch provided by hosts Richard and Sophia. They also kindly shared the lunch recipes with us following the class. You work in pairs for some items so it's a great class to attend with a family member or friend. I was delighted with how all my breads turned out and since the course my bread baking has improved significantly. If you’re looking to get started with bread baking, level up yourbaking skills, or just have an enjoyable day, I can’t recommend this course enough!

I had the great pleasure of attending the Beef Wellington course on the 1st November 2025. I had waited 4 years to be able to attend this course and I wasn't disappointed. My first lesson with Richard was in his home kitchen , learning the best way to cook our lovely Scottish fish. He has come such a long way and now has a beautiful, professional, well equipped teaching kitchen. Nothing has been left out. I attended with 11 other enthusiastic amateur cooks. The day was well structured and informative. I came away with new skills and confidence. I have spent the week boasting about my new skills and consequently, I am charged with doing Beef Wellington for Thanksgiving dinner [I arrived in the USA yesterday] and have also been asked to do one for Boxing day at home. I am confident that I can do it thanks to Richards teaching. PART TWO Well, Thanksgiving day finally arrived. In a crowded kitchen with a non convection oven, I set to making a Beef Wellington. A couple of mistakes along the way but the end result was very tasty. I hope to reach perfection when I try again on Boxing day.

I recently attended the Mediterranean Flatbread Feasts cookery course with my siblings and Dad. We all had a fantastic time. The team were all so lovely and helpful. Richard and Tor shared some great tips and the recipes we made were all delicious! It was a relaxed but fun environment and I will definitely be booking on to more classes in the future. The day was made even better by the sun shining, and we got to enjoy the lovely outdoor area during the break and when tasting our food! The cookery school itself is really lovely inside, with wonderful facilities! We also liked that there was an in-house bar and enjoyed a bottle of wine whilst we cooked up our feast! It was a fantastic 4 hours. Thanks for a great day guys!
