“I had a fantastic experience at Swanston Farm. The surroundings are absolutely beautiful, with stunning hikes and views just outside the city. Meeting the Highland cows up close was a real highlight — such a unique and memorable experience. The walks are peaceful, well worth it, and offer a lovely escape into nature while still being so close to Edinburgh. Everything felt relaxed, welcoming, and very well looked after. I would highly recommend Swanston Farm to anyone visiting Edinburgh, especially if you enjoy the outdoors, scenic walks, and something a little different from the usual tourist spots. A perfect way to spend a day!”

“FAVE part of our trip!! This was so easy to find. We took a bus and enjoyed the scenic route and residential neighborhoods. It’s mostly an easy walk, unless you want to look for the sheep. It’s VERY steep, if you go further up, and wouldn’t be easy with kids. However, it’s worth going just to see the adorable cows and horses, as well as the beautiful views. One of the cows loved all the attention, and he loved having his head scratched. So cute! There’s a nice restaurant too. There’s also an easily accessible bathroom that’s very clean and well-stocked. THANK YOU! There’s even a machine to get fresh, hot drinks from to take with you. The people who are giving negative reviews are just ungrateful. This is a gorgeous property that nobody is charging any fees to visitors! It’s completely free! They could easily charge you for this, but choose not to!! We would go again!”

“We had a wonderful walk through the perfect nature. Saw multiple highland cows and our hike was unforgettable, can definitely recommend. Everything was easy to reach, only a small walk from the bus station and the busses go every 10/15 minutes!”
