“After several years of commitment to Lasswade Gymnastics Club, we have been left deeply disappointed. Our child has ADHD and is under CAMHS with a care plan linked to autism. Rather than working with us to understand what helps her focus, feel included, and reach her potential, the club ultimately told us she was “too much” for them. The message was clear: she was no longer welcome. For a club working with children, this shows a real lack of maturity, inclusivity, and understanding of additional needs. There was no meaningful attempt to adapt, support, or even have a constructive conversation about reasonable adjustments. The recent staff reshuffle has also had a noticeable negative impact. Many families are leaving, and it feels like the stability and care the club once offered has gone. After years of loyalty, countless hours spent waiting during sessions, and a significant amount of money invested, we are left feeling let down. This is not a welcoming or nurturing environment, particularly for children who need encouragement rather than exclusion. I would not recommend this club to families looking for supportive, inclusive coaching.”
