“Ordered pizza for a collection for the next day. Upon payment (the day before pickup) I was asked to leave a tip. A tip for what exactly? A tip is for good service, and let's be honest, I was the one going to the restaurant to pick up food and take it home, that is not service for a tip. Having picked up the pizzas they were ok, however I had added some meat as a topping. There wasn't much difference between the one with meat and the one without. Whether or not they skimp on meat if you don't tip I don't know, but I definitely won't be back. Pizza geeks round the corner is the better option of the 2 local pizza restaurants. I can't say much for service or atmosphere as the place was empty at 6pm on a Friday apart from a couple of people picking up food. As for service, the pizzas were ready to go and they just handed me them. I am still wondering why they think it is acceptable to ask for a tip. Do you tip at the chippy, Greggs etc or at a shop when people sell you items?”

“As an Italian, Matto Pizza has been my go-to spot for years whenever I need to satisfy that pizza craving that sometimes itches like crazy! 🤌🏻🍕 Their Margherita is my personal favourite—a true test of quality pizza, and they absolutely nail it. The pizza dough is incredible, and the base is authentically Neapolitan, which is just how it should be. Every now and then, I treat myself to something different, and I’ve never been disappointed. Just pick any pizza from the menu, and you’re in for a treat. The Pizzeria in Abbeyhill is more of a takeaway with a small, cosy seating area. The atmosphere is perfect for those who enjoy an uncomplicated experience—order, eat, have a good chat, and go. It’s simple and perfect for a quick bite. Other Matto locations are a bit larger and offer that classic old-school restaurant/pizzeria vibe. Matto Pizza is an absolute must if you're looking for authentic Italian pizza in Edinburgh! 👏🏻”
