★★★★★“I am pleased to recommend Kate Bradbury , a Family Law Specialist at Brodies, for her exceptional professionalism and supportive approach during a challenging time in my life. Navigating a divorce can be incredibly stressful, but from my very first consultation with Kate, I felt at ease. Her easy manner made it possible to discuss sensitive issues openly, allowing me to feel comfortable and understood. Kate has a remarkable ability to communicate complex legal concepts in clear, straightforward language. She took the time to ensure that I fully understood each step of the process, which greatly alleviated my anxiety. Her thorough explanations and patient demeanor instilled confidence in her expertise, making me feel that I was in capable hands. Throughout the entire process, Kate demonstrated a genuine commitment to my well-being. She was attentive to my concerns and worked diligently to achieve a favorable outcome. Thanks to her support and guidance, what could have been an overwhelming experience turned into a manageable one. I wholeheartedly recommend Kate Bradbury to anyone seeking a compassionate and skilled family law specialist. Her professionalism and approachable nature truly set her apart in her field.”
★★★★★“Brodies was recommended to me by a close friend, and naturally, I also read several online reviews. What stood out to me was that, aside from overwhelmingly positive feedback, the only criticism anyone mentioned concerned the fees—not the quality of the work. That, to me, spoke volumes. As someone who works in the service industry, I have little patience for complaints about fair pricing. Fees are what they are—good work costs money. Anyone expecting five-star service for McDonald’s prices is, frankly, disqualifying themselves. What also impressed me was the reaction I received whenever I mentioned that I had engaged Brodies. Without exception, people responded with respect: “Oh, wow—they’re the best.” As a German unfamiliar with Scottish divorce law, it was especially important for me to find a solicitor who could explain the mechanics of a completely different legal system clearly and efficiently. I know how crucial this is—having advised international investors on German property law for years, I’ve seen how much depends on a lawyer’s ability to bridge legal and cultural gaps. Jacqueline Stroud did this exceptionally well. She combines clarity and expertise with personal qualities that inspire confidence—negotiating firmly yet calmly, and always asserting her client’s position with professionalism and poise. From my own experience, anyone seeking truly professional, first-class service should choose Brodies without hesitation.”
★★★★★“⭐☆☆☆☆ I would strongly advise anyone considering Brodies LLP to think again. I recently received a letter from them on behalf of a family member, and it was one of the poorest pieces of legal correspondence I’ve ever seen. Instead of addressing the facts, it was full of baseless accusations, threats of harassment and defamation, and intimidation tactics. The letter ignored the findings of the Office of the Public Guardian, which had already properly investigated the matter, and tried to paint legitimate safeguarding concerns as “malicious” or “frivolous.” In my view, this shows: • Poor professionalism – the letter looked hastily drafted, without regard to evidence or context. • Weak client service – Brodies seemed more interested in intimidation than legal merit. • Reputation issues – their approach matches the many negative reviews you can find online about high fees, slow service, and lack of empathy. A good law firm should resolve disputes constructively and advise clients realistically. Instead, Brodies’ heavy-handed tactics only inflame situations and undermine trust. If you want quality, considered legal advice, avoid Brodies LLP. There are far better firms out there who won’t waste your time (or your opponent’s) with meritless threats and poorly thought-out letters.”
