“We recently visited Greek Artisan Pastries after driving over from Ayrshire to Edinburgh for business and happened to stumble across this fantastic store. We purchased kefalotyri cheese slices, and were really pleased to find such authentic Greek produce available here. Unfortunately, when we got home, we discovered that the cheese had developed mould. While this was disappointing, we completely understand that with imported products, especially cheese that has travelled from Greece and been handled multiple times, rare issues can occasionally happen. What truly stood out was how the company handled it. I emailed them to explain the situation, and Yanna went absolutely above and beyond to resolve the issue. They promptly sent out replacement cheese along with a couple of extra items as a goodwill gesture. The professionalism, ownership, and genuine care shown in resolving the matter was exceptional. What could easily have ended in a 1-star review was completely turned around by their dedication to customer service. Mistakes can happen, it’s how a business responds that really matters, and they handled it perfectly. A fantastic store with authentic products and outstanding customer care. “We decided to try Greek Artisan Pastries for the first time a couple of weeks ago and wanted to pick up something hot to take away. We arrived around 20 minutes before closing and selected two pastries. Unfortunately, they were only lukewarm. I politely asked if they could be heated, but the shop assistant said the equipment had already been switched off because they wanted to go home. I was disappointed by both the response and the level of customer service, especially as I was assured the pastries would be warm inside — they were not. Sadly, we won’t be returning.”
